Brews With Views
This will be our fifth year to offer the popular Brews with Views trips. Guests enjoy the best of the West, as we combine rafting the beautiful Rogue River with handcrafted ales.
For 2014, we’ve already scheduled 2 trips with 2 different breweries and threw in a meadery to keep things buzzing! And there’s definitely more on the way. Selections range from one of the original craft brewers in the country to an up-and-coming brewery located near our office in Hood River, Oregon. Simply choose your favorite brewery and join us for a trip worth savoring!

With a special offering for each season (Summerfest’s tangy hops will pair nicely with the Rogue’s sunny afternoons) and a large collection of Limited Selections, Sierra Nevada’s trip on the Rogue will please both casual and serious microbrew fans.

Join us as owner and brewmaster Matt Swihart tags along and teaches you all about Double Mountain brews. Double Mountain Brewery was founded in 2007 with a mission to make great beer for craft beer fans.
All of their offerings are served unfiltered and long-aged, to deliver maximum flavor and character. With an aim to satisfy both the hardcore aficionados and the more casual craft beer fan, all in the same glass, they are making a name for themselves with favorites like the powerful IPA, Hop Lava (made with hops grown here in the Northwest), and the dry-hopped pale ale known as The Vaporizer.
Also on board will be Nick Lorenz from Nectar Creek Honeywine, a world-class meadery in Corvallis. Nick’s mead is made from 100% Oregon honey and is naturally gluten-free. You’ll savor the wildflower, raspberry, and ginger “session” meads on this trip.

The bonus: Base Camp is in the process of creating a special “location” beer series made with native edibles from various places in the Northwest. They’re working hard to have the Rogue-specific beer premier on this trip!
Deschutes Brewery | Bend, OR
Price: $895/person
Includes: Deschutes Brewery craft beers; all meals, snacks and beverages; camping and rafting gear; professional guide services
Group Size: 20 Guests + River Guides
Deschutes Brewery started brewing handcrafted ales back in 1988 and has since become a household name in Oregon. Their flagship Black Butte Porter features a rich flavor with distinctive chocolate notes and a roasted finish, perfect for an evening spent riverside. Mirror Pond Pale Ale features hops balanced with Crystal malts resulting in Deschutes most popular beer. On using whole flower hops, we’re big fans of Mother Nature and keeping our brewing ingredients as close as possible to what she provides.
The bonus: You can’t get more ‘Oregon’ than Deschutes. Check out this video about the namesakes of their many beers. Now if we could only get them to name one after the Rogue…
