What is the youngest age chid you allow on the Rogue River?
Our minimum age is 7 but we do occasionally allow 6 year olds. Please contact our office if you would like to bring a 6 year old on a Rogue River trip.
Can I bring and use my PFD from home?
We provide a rafting-specific PFD with proper flotation for untrained whitewater swimmers. Check out our PFD Blog to see the guidelines for bringing your own PFD to use on our trips.
I need to buy some river shoes for the trip. Do you have recommendations?

What kind of camping gear is provided?
Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and tents are provided at no extra cost. Check out this page to learn more about the dimensions and details of our camping gear.
Can I bring my own camping gear?
Absolutely! Just let us know in your trip registration so we can avoid overpacking unnecessary gear.
Will there be phone service or wifi on the trip?
No. There is no cell phone service or wifi at Galice Resort (our meeting place) or during the drive back at the end of the trip.
Will we see wildlife on our trip?

What is the bathroom like?
We bring a top of the line Selway Groovers for our portable toilets. Our guides make sure they are kept sanitary and choose scenic and private locations.
What is the water temperature like on the Rogue?
It varies a bit year to year, but generally here is the range:
- May: 53°F-64°F
- June: 61°F-71°F
- July: 68°F-75°F
- August: 66°F-76°F

I have a dietary restriction, will you be able to accommodate?

How can I get to Galice from Medford without a car?
The best way is by taxi or rideshare app like Lyft or Uber. Here are a list of Taxis in the area that drive to Galice. It is smart to call and book in advance to guarantee availability, especially for your return trip to the airport as there is no cell service or taxis waiting at Galice Resort.

Prices are for one way, per car (not per person). Prices are estimates and are current as of February 2025.
I want to bring my own kayak or raft on the trip. Is this possible?
All personal rafts or kayaks must be approved ahead of the trip by our office. Please contact us for more details.

Can I fish on my Rogue River trip?
Make sure to have a valid Oregon Fishing License. Fishing is allowed in the mornings and afternoons at camp, but not from a boat. Please bring a secure case to store your gear while on the boat during the day.
I’m bringing a bike with me. Is there somewhere to store it?
There is not on-site bike storage at Galice Resort. You’ll need to leave it in your vehicle or check with Galice Resort for potential storage options.
What is the cancellation policy?
A deposit payment is required to confirm your reservation and final payment is due 60 days prior to the trip. All payments are non-refundable. For this reason we highly recommend travel insurance to protect your travel investment.
Please understand that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies, family emergencies, or unexpected schedule conflicts. This is why we strongly urge you to purchase a travel protection plan.
